This week at Virtual United 6/4/19

Greetings! Welcome to the latest edition of my semi-regular bi-weekly note. Its more like a monthly check-in e-mail at this point.

Unlike other months, I have updated our stats this time, and it appears the VA has been very active since March. Here are some of our numbers:

March hours: 5,883, March flights: 1572
April hours: 6,513, April flights: 1489
May hours: 6,187 May flights: 1546
CYTD: 29,484 hours, 7687 flights, 11,788,707 miles flown, 341,604,624 pounds of fuel burned (all from non-manual PIREP data)

This is the time of year where we see an increase in pilot applications and activity. In April we exceeded 2018 totals by 10%, and May was pretty much even with May, 2018. As we head into the summer I expect the numbers to continue to grow.

Right now we are looking to make some improvements to the website, especially since the real world UAL has announced their new livery scheme. Don't forget to check the events postings on the home page and make a flight or two if you can.

That's all I have this week.

See you in the skies!
