This week at Virtual United 9/3/16

Post by UAL001 Gary Price » September 3rd, 2016, 12:09 pm

Welcome to another edition of the semi-regular, bi-weekly VUAL update.

Summer is now mostly in the rear-view mirror as we enter the Labor Day holiday weekend in the US. August was another stellar month with the VA flying 8,471 hours on 2,251 flights. We had 3 hubs fly over 1,000 hours, and overall the activity was high. Baseball is starting to wind down, and football season, college and pro, is now here (the other brand of football, or as we like to call it "soccer" in the US has already started around the world), so there should be plenty of time to watch TV and fly in the months ahead.

Don't forget you have the entire month of September to claim the Rio Olympics Award. There is another crazy Olympics award out there for those of you with no life. Events has also cooked up a flight with some other VAs on 9/17 from Dulles to Orlando. More information, and sign-ups, are available on the home page.

Our VATSTAR training program is going strong, so please don't forget to drop by, sign up and start working on those VATSIM ratings.

With that, I wil let you get back to your cockpits and flight preparations.

regards,

Just another note: August, 2016 was our "best ever" August, surpassing August 2014 total hours flown by 31 hours!!

Great flying everyone!
