This week at Virtual United 11/9/20

Post by UAL001 Gary Price » November 11th, 2020, 6:41 pm

Greetings all. Welcome to November!!!

Sorry for the delay in sending this note out to you all. I was having some e-mail issues last month, that have been resolved.

September and October were strong months for the VA. We did exceed last year's flying extending our streak of more hours and flights vs. 2019.

Sept. was close, we flew 17 more hours than last year on 89 more flights. October was stronger, we flew 6,399 hours on 1,566 flights (102% and 103% vs LY). Through 10 months this year we have already flown more hours and flights than we did in all of 2019!!! Great job everyone!

Our new website is still on track for a late 2020, early 2021 launch. Victor has stepped down from VP-IT role due to real-world stuff (he is going for his PPL!!!), and Nicholas will be stepping into the VP role, so we are excited about that. Vic will remain on our roster, so if you see him online, please send him a THANK YOU for all his support. You have no idea how many times he fixed IT-stuff behind the scenes!

Lastly a request from our fearless VP-Events, Kevin:

We have a survey in the Events section of our site. Please go there any complete it! There are only nine questions so it will only take a few minutes to complete. Click HERE to go directly to the survey. There is also a link in the News section on our homepage and in the Events section of our forum. The survey wraps up at 2359z on November 14. Responses are not being tracked back to an individual pilot; so please complete the survey and be frank. We need feedback like this to keep our VA responsive to the needs of our pilots.

That is all I have this month. Please make sure to get your one flight in, but feel free to fly more, if you like.

See you in the skies!
