Dual Moniter Question

Post by UAL551 Tucker Tomek » February 2nd, 2014, 1:06 am

I just got a second monitor for my computer, hooked it up, got it all running and figured out! When I go to play games, full screen, on my primary monitor, and have say Google chrome open on my other. When I go to click in chrome it minimizes the game. Is there anyway to stop this from happening or is the only option to play FSX and other games "Windowed", and does playing it "Windowed" have any negative effect of FPS?

Windowed mode in FSX is achieved by ALT+Enter.

I don't see much in frame hits.

it can only affect your vertical sync (frame lock at 60fps or whatever your screen refresh rate is)

there actually are frame changes regarding full screen or windowed, in my case i get better frames with full screen

i have a triple monitor setup and i tried panning across all three and was able to maintain 30fps but i use the middle now in window mode as i need the other two for everything else and my frames are better.
