Vatsim Controller

Post by UAL916 Ray Browell » June 11th, 2018, 4:58 pm

Well, in order to take up some of my time now to keep my mind off of other aspects of life, I decided to give Vatsim controlling a try.

I took the exam today and got a 24/25 for a 96%. I'll be working the scopes in good ol' KC.
If I could I would. If I don't, it's because I am lazy!

Awesome, congrats Ray! I can't imagine that was an easy test.

Actually, the test was not bad at all. It is "open book" but really, no book is needed. It is pretty much common every day flying online and Vatsim related stuff. Not bad at all. I encourage ANYONE wanting to jump in the world of ATC to give it a try. I thought I was going to sweat it and look up every answer. Nope! not at all.

And thanks for the congrats! Much appreciated. I can't wait to get started. I been doing ATC on various servers for years dating back to the MSN Zone days. I recall back in the day running gate to gate atc service by myself pushing 25+ aircraft in a couple hours. Headaches galore but man alive was it fun!
