You might be thinking that incredible -78fpm landing at KSFO in the B744 is a typo, but I can assure you its not. Our high fidelity ACARS system (aka "Dumbcars") would never made such a mistake!!!

With some shifty winds and low clouds at SFO, I bravely brought in the Queen over MENLO after navigating the GOLDN7 arrival out of ALCOA.... Ah yes, many of the Pacific fleet captains know these intersections and arrivals like the back of their hand. Anyway, passing some light to moderate turbulence at 3000, I brought her onto the beam and right over the numbers of 28L. We touched down on the concrete without most of the passengers knowing we had returned back to Earth.

It was probably so soft because you missed the runway and actually ended up in the grass next to it! :lol:

Most passengers that fly with UAL001 are handed this publication at the boarding gate...
