KIAD -Dulles August 2017 Recap

Post by UAL024 Eric Elia » Sep 5th, '17, 17:06

Well it looks like summer is finally winding down as finished the month of August on an up note of 998.4 hours. There was a flurry of flights the last couple of days in August that got us oh so close to that 1000 hour threshold. Considering we were hovering at about 800 hours on the 29th of August, I'm still happy with the results.

It breaks down as follows:

67 pilots at the Dulles hub with 51 pilots flying at least one flight in August.

The hub flew collectively 246 flights with the average length of 4.06 hours per flight.

We contributed 434,857 miles to the company's combined totals in August.

We also placed a respectable 3rd in the landing category at -210 fpm

The top pilot with the most hours was UAL530 Dominic Harte with 166.7 flight hours.

UAL502 Sam Chen led with 20 flights and UAL508 Joe Mendez was second with 18 flights.

UAL508 Joe Mendez also had the best landing of the month.

September seems to be starting off strong right out of the gate. I hope we can keep up the pace.

Until next time.......

Eric
