Allowed to fly the A330

Post by UAL158 Rean Opperman » Dec 31st, '17, 19:47

As the title says - are we allowed to fly the Airbus A330 on long-haul routes? Provided that it does have a StarAlliance-United livery and that I do have an ATP Captain CAT rating?

(I don't see the A330 listed on the Fleet page, that's why I wanted to make sure if we can still fly it)

Hi Rean,

Yes, you can fly the A330. Many of us are (still) waiting for Aerosoft to release their version. UAL has many STAR Alliance partners that fly the A330, so there will be plenty of flights to fly when it comes out!

Thanks Gary! I assume we can also sub the A330 on UAL flights that normally operate 777/747's? Although I guess you can also even sub it instead of 737's and the like, as long as you have Senior Captain or ATP Captain rank?

(I hear ya on awaiting the Aerosoft release.. still waiting for them to release the new A320 for P3Dv4 too. But in the meantime I picked up a Jardesign A330 for XP11 to play around with)

Rean, the aircraft listed in the dropdown menu on the schedule page shows the full range of aircraft that we can fly for credit with vUAL. The fleet page is somewhat of a collection of FS9/FSX freeware aircraft in United colours. See you in the skies, man.
